Withdrawal and Refund Policy

AES shall inform the Student immediately within three (3) working days if

  1. It fails, for any reason, to commence the Course on the Course  Commencement Date;
  2. It terminates the Course, for any reason, prior to the Course Commencement Date;
  3. It fails for any reason, to complete the Course by the Course Completion Date; or
  4. It terminates the Course, for any reason, prior to Course Completion Date; or
  5. The Student’s Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) AES shall, within seven (7) working days of notifying the Student in writing of above circumstances (1) to (5), provide the Student with information and details of the alternative confirmed course arrangement to allow Student to make timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangement.

^Refund for Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course:

AES will notify the student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

  1. It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  2. It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  3. It does not complete the Course by the Course Commencement Date;
  4. It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  5. It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as set by the organization sated in Schedule A within any stipulated timeline set by CPE; or
  6. The Student’s Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority

The Student should be informed in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and also be entitled to a refund of the entire Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees already paid should the student decide to withdraw, within seven (7) working days of the above notice. All the materials regardless of consumed or non-consumed will NOT be returned to the student. Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) fees already paid is NOT refundable.

After the 7 working days from date of signing of student contract, the student will not entitled to a refund of consumed Miscellaneous Fees, Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) fees already paid, should the student decide to withdraw. Refund to the student an amount based on the refund table. All the consumed materials will be returned to the student accordingly.

Withdrawal

Students can choose to withdraw from the course anytime they wish subjected to approval from top management.

In the event where the students are caught breaking Singapore’s law, the students will be forced to withdraw from the school.

In the event where the students are caught breaking AES’s rule, the decision to ask the students to withdraw will lie with the top management.

For international students, the student’s pass will be cancel once the student withdraws from AES. A maximum of not more than 4 weeks is needed in assessing and replying to the request by the student for transfer/withdrawal case.

In the event that a student is absent / remain un-contactable by email or phone for a continuous period of one month or more, a final email will be sent via registered post by the academy to determine the student’s status.

Student who gives verbal decision and not willing to come down (due to other reason/busy schedule/etc) to complete the formalities will be sent a withdrawal form via email or registered post. If no respond consecutively for 7 working days from student will deem as withdrawal. For international students, all student passes will be cancelled and ICA may issue a forfeiture of the banker’s guarantee. After a period of time, if the student decides to come back for the course, they will require to sign a new contract.

As such case (M.I.A student), the student will still be liable for any outstanding fees due to the academy. The Academy reserves the rights to refer the case to the Small Claims Tribunal.

^Refund for Withdrawal Due to Other Reasons:

If the student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause Withdrawal, AES will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal/Form 22, refund to the student an amount based on the refund table in Schedule D.

^Refund During Cooling-Off Period:

AES will provide the student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the contract has been signed by both parties. The student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in schedule D) of the fees already paid if the student submit a written notice of withdrawal/Form 22 to AES within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the student has started the course or not. AES will not deduct any consumed fees from the refunded amount during the cooling-off period.

No Double Claim

For the avoidance of doubt, if the Student and / or his / her parent / guardian receives any payment from Aesthetics International Academy or from Lonpac Insurance Bhd pursuant to a provision of this Agreement or Master Insurance Policy in respect of any matter or damage, then the Student and his / her parent / guardian shall not be entitled to claim against Aesthetics International Academy or Lonpac Insurance Bhd for the same payment in respect of the same matter or damage pursuant to any other provision of this Agreement or the Master Insurance Policy.
