VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Facial Electrical Treatments aims to:
- Give a solid foundation in Facial Treatments and different type of Facial Electrical Equipments
- Support management professionals by giving them fundamental knowledge in this subject
- Prepare students for new career opportunities in this area
- This course also allows you to make a smooth transition to many beauty and wellness programmes.
RECOGNITION
Upon successful completion, graduates of this programme can pursue their career as Facial Therapist.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course consists of 1 unit with a total of 250 contact hours. Courses are delivered face to face.
TREATMENT EVIDENCE
Treatment evidence documentation must be completed under the supervision of a Lecturer who must monitor the quality of the treatments performed throughout the Learner's training to ensure that they meet the ITEC criteria.

- Unit 13: Facial Electrical Treatments
Course Fees, Structure & Duration
The course can be taken within a minimum period of 3 months for Full Time and 7 Months for Part Time.

Full Time:
3 Months / 250 Hours
Every Monday – Friday: 10.30am-5.30pm
Part Time:
7 Months / 250 Hours
Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 07.00pm-10.00pm
Assessment and Examination
At the commencement of each module, students will be provided the assessment mode and weightings for the module. Most modules have several points of assessment, which may include assignments, tests and final examinations.
In-House Examinations
Theory: 1 hour (MCQ)
Practical: 1 hour
ITEC Examinations
Theory: 1 hour (MCQ)
Practical: 1 hour
Total marks: 100
Pass marks: 60/100
Case Studies: (Treatment Evidence)
– Facial Electrical Treatments – 5 clients using a minimum of 2 suitable facial electrical treatments per client. Candidates should cover the full range of equipment throughout their treatments.
Entry & Graduation Requirements
The minimum entry requirements are:
- At least 16 years old & above
- Academic: Secondary 3 (Grade 9) or equivalent or above
- Language: Proficiency in English or Chinese
- English - Min. grade C6 (50% or higher); at least IELTS 4.5 or higher or a pass in GCE“N” Level English; or its equivalent
- Mandarin - Min. grade C6 (50% or higher); at least pass in GCE“N” Level Mandarin; or its equivalent
Candidates must achieve the following requirements in order to graduate from the course:
- Must attend all lessons with minimum 100% attendance.
- Must complete all portfolio evidence on the date given before examination.
- Must score minimum of 60% in all theory and practical units.
Students who successfully complete the examination will be awarded with the (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma by International Therapy Examination Council, UK.
