VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology aims to:
- To understand the definition and terms use in study of Anatomy and Physiology
- To have the basic knowledge of body structure and function of the body systems
- To understand the structure and function of skin
- To recognize the common diseases and disorders of the skin and body system

RECOGNITION

Upon successful completion, graduates of this programme can gain better understanding on the human body.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course consists of 1 unit with a total of 100 contact hours. Courses are delivered face to face.

TREATMENT EVIDENCE

Treatment evidence documentation must be completed under the supervision of a Lecturer who must monitor the quality of the treatments performed throughout the Learner’s training to ensure that they meet the ITEC criteria.

The course can be taken within a minimum period of 2 months for full time and 3 months for part time.

Full Time:

Every Monday – Friday: 10.30am-5.30pm

Part Time:

3 Months / 100 Hours

Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 07.00pm-10.00pm

Assessment and Examination

At the commencement of each module, students will be provided the assessment mode and weightings for the module. Most modules several points of assessment, which may include assignments, test and final examinations

In-House Examinations

Theory: 1 hour (MCQ) (Include unit 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40) Practical: Not applicable

ITEC Examinations

Theory: 1 hour (MCQ) (Include unit 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40) Practical: Not applicable

Total marks: 100
Pass marks: 60/100

Entry & Graduation Requirements

The minimum entry requirements are:
- At least 16 years old & above
- Academic: Secondary 3 (Grade 9) or equivalent or above
- Language: Proficiency in English or Chinese
- English - Min. grade C6 (50% or higher); at least IELTS 4.5 or higher or a pass in GCE“N” Level English; or its equivalent
- Mandarin - Min. grade C6 (50% or higher); at least pass in GCE“N” Level Mandarin; or its equivalent

Candidates must achieve the following requirements in order to graduate from the course:
- Must attend all lessons with minimum 100% attendance.
- Must complete all portfolio evidence on the date given before examination.
- Must score minimum of 60% in all theory and practical units.

Students who successfully complete the examination will be awarded with the (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma by International Therapy Examination Council, UK.
